Marysville Music Weekend Kicks On in 2022

 

The little festival that could - The Marysville Music Weekend - is finally going ahead. Organisers have re-scheduled the whole line up many times and are pleased to announce that Marysville’s signature event will now take place on its regular weekend 14-16 October 2022.

 

The program includes all artists from last year’s cancelled event including roots duo Pierce Brothers, Australia’s leading jazz man James Morrison with his Motown Experience, and Alt-country trailblazer Freya Josephine Hollick along with many more.

Backo is an indie solo artist, stemming from regional Victoria. Growing up in the small town of Marysville, Backo found his passion in writing, composing and performing music to anyone who would listen, playing at local events, pubs and school events.

 

After finishing high school, Backo took the opportunity to expand his audience by moving to the city of Melbourne and headlining at places such as the Workers Club, the Tote, Bad Decisions, and many other music-driven venues.

Tickets are available as individual session passes or 3-day passes.

The Marysville Music Weekend is a prepaid ticketed event.  There are no ticket sales at the venue (stage) doors. Admission to ticketed venues is on the presentation – the wearing of a relevant colour wristband.     

Tickets purchased via Trybooking can be exchanged for wristbands at entry to the venue.

As all ticketed venues are licenced premises all persons under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult    

                                                                                                                                 

GETTING THERE

Marysville is an easy 1:45 hour drive from either the centre of Melbourne, or Melbourne Airport.

Bus transport is available to and from Melbourne CBD with Metropolitan Buses here

Covid-19

Marysville Music Weekend is a Covid Safe Event. Should the performance need to be cancelled or postponed as a result of matters related to COVID-19. Marysville Music Weekend will do its best to reschedule the event. Tickets will be valid for the rescheduled event or refunds will be offered.

How do the wristbands work at the event?

Your wristband is checked at the entry point of all ticketed shows. There are no replacements for lost wristbands; the only way they can be removed is with scissors. Wristbands cannot be transferred to friends.

Can I get a refund?

No refund will be given except in accordance with the applicable Live Performance Australia code of practice for Event Ticketing www.liveperformance.com.au . This is an all-weather event. No refunds will be made if you choose not to attend due to inclement weather.

Can I bring a camera with me to the festival?

Yes! All still cameras are allowed into Marysville Music Weekend venues. Don’t forget to share your pics on social media using the hashtag #MMW2022

Marysville Music Weekend is a drug free event and supports responsible service of alcohol.
